I’ve just lost my playstation 3

OK, I want my playstation back.

I’m sitting here with my girlfriend who is happily swigging Malibu (yeah, yeah I know) and she is playing one of the cheapy games from the playstation store. Nothing wrong with it you might suggest, but wait til you have all the facts before you jump to that conclusion.

OK, first and foremost, It’s my playstation. Childish I know but I shelled out my hard earned for it, to much scorn I might add, and now I can’t get my hands on it.

Secondly, the running commentary. I dunno if I am the only person in the world to experience this, but it seems that my girl can’t play it without giving a running commentary on the proceedings. She is playing the Aquatica game which is quite addictive I have to admit, but I can see what’s going on.

When we moved in together I bought her a psp so I would be able to use mine when I wanted to, as after 9 months of being told it was a “waste of money” and not being able to understand why I wanted one, I found that on a long weekend away I was unable to get those precious gaming moments because she was using my psp.

Fine that was good. Reason enough to treat her to a little present (and get me in the good books to start off with!) but the hardest part for her, I feel, is that when she was first playing it, spacial awareness was something which went out of the window. You see I bought her the Loco Roco game which is utterly simple and incredible to play, a real good gaming experience, this was the mistake I didn’t realise would almost make me sea sick. See, sat at the other end of the couch playing Loco Roco was my great girlfriend, pretty as ever, but tilting from side to side in an attempt to tip the characters in the game further over, to the point of ending up with the psp upside down and her head at 90 degrees. Class I haven’t laughed like that for years.

She is great with interiors, so I am dreading the day that the playstation home is released. She is already planning out what her online home is going to look like, There will be sleepless nights where she is designing the best online appartment she can.

So now you see, this is getting serious. I managed to make sure I had my own psp for my own use by buying her one of her own. So the dilema I face is this: do I buy her a PS3 of her own, something for which she will doubtless love me more for, or do tell her something like the PS3 is bad for your health in some way?

Comments would be greatly received, as right now I am skint and can’t afford to shell out for another PS3.
